Etiquette:
No archer should:
- Talk in a loud voice
- Talk to another archer who prefers to shoot silently
- Make any loud noise or other extravagant movement
- Go behind the target to retrieve any missing arrows before the score has been recorded
- Walk to other targets to compare scores. If this need to be done, then wait until you are back behind the shooting line
- Touch other archers equipment
- Leave littler on the archery field
However a good archer should:
- Call their scores out in groups of three starting with the highest, working down to the lowest e.g. 7,7,5 pause then 5,5,3
- If an archers accidentally breaks another archers equipment, then both archers should come to some arrangement, BEFORE shooting is resumed
- Have their phones either turned off or put on silent at all times of shooting. If there is a specific reason for the phone to be turned on, please inform either chairman or secretary.
Spectators:
- Spectators shall not talk in a loud or distracting voice while shooting is taking place
- Spectators under no circumstances are allowed to enter the target range unless directly asked by the linesperson or coach.
- Spectators are kindly asked to turn off or put their phones on silent at all times. If there is a specific reason for the phone to be turned on, please inform either chairman or secretary.
